We offer that help. BAPAs seven associates work with the full spectrum of human problems and at all stages of the human lifecycle children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our therapists meet with individuals, couples, and families. We have many years of experience in assisting people work through family conflicts, self-esteem issues, trauma recovery, sexuality problems, and others.
About Us:
Bay Area Psychotherapy Associates is an interdisciplinary group of independent practitioners, who are fully licensed professionals. We stay current with advances in our profession by continuing education, and we offer high quality services.
Education and Experience: Each therapist brings years of experience to the problems their clients face. The rich background of each therapist provides an opportunity for each client to benefit from that experience. These backgrounds include: work at Juvenile Hall, domestic violence programs, school based and agency settings and many more. Our therapists hold either a Masters or a Doctorate degree.
Accessibility: Our therapists are accessible and responsive to telephone contact during and after practice hours. Every effort is made to accommodate clients schedules for appointments, including morning, afternoon and evening sessions. Our offices are wheelchair accessible. We are conveniently located in Campbell, CA, adjacent to San Jose.
Insurance: Some of the therapists at BAPA accept major health care insurance.
Confidentiality: As required in the State of California, all of the sessions are confidential. Our aim is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to do the work that you would like to do, and then move on with your life in a healthier way.
While the associates at BAPA share a few expenses and administrative functions, as well as office space and a name, we want you to know that we are each completely independent in providing you with clinical services, and we are each solely responsible for those services, including fees, insurance and availability. Each therapist maintains his or her own confidential records.

Meet Our Associates:
Bea Armstrong, MFT, focuses on adults who have been sexually traumatized. A licensed therapist for 13 years, she works with incest survivors and rape victims. Bea also has extensive experience in working with couples who are struggling to make their partnership the best possible. Other interests: financial/abundance issues, ACA, adult children of narcissistic parents, grief and loss, and mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks and bipolar disorder. Joseph LeFevre, MFT, works with adolescents, adults, and families. He believes that everyone has natural strengths and resources, and we are all capable of living successful, fulfilling lives. Joseph believes that each persons needs are unique and may change over time, and he enjoys working with clients interested in long-term depth therapy, intermittent tune-up therapy, and short-term, specific-issue focused work. Treacy Eller, MFT, conducts psychotherapy with adults, adolescents and couples. She enjoys in-depth, long-term work to discover the barriers to having satisfying relationships. Treacy has extensive experience working with domestic violence perpetrators and victims in groups and in individual treatment. Judith McFarland, MFT, works from a Control Mastery/Cognitive Therapy orientation. Her special interest is in helping her clients to have relationships that are a source of joy in their lives, rather than a source of pain. Some other areas of focus are adult children of alcoholics, communication work, parenting, depression, and grief and loss. In addition to private practice, Judy has presented Bullying Prevention programs at local schools and been a professional advisor, trainer and group facilitator for GoodParents, Inc, providing education and training for parents of teens. Robert Land, Psy.D., works with teens, families and individual adults from a cognitive behavioral as well as family systems framework to deliver quality services to each of his clients. Mary Miller, Psy.D., works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. A psychologist, she specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults suffering from stress, anxiety, depression, and communication and behavioral problems.
